These terms cover how Life's Little Helper works, what you can expect from the forum, and where our responsibility ends. They apply the moment you read a thread or post a question.
Life's Little Helper is a community board for household questions: a dripping geyser, a gate motor that clicks, a stain on a school shirt, a grocery budget that will not stretch. Members answer from their own experience. Replies are opinions and personal accounts, not certified trade advice, and they do not replace a qualified plumber, electrician or accountant where the law requires one.
Reading needs no account. To ask a question you register with a working email address and keep your login details to yourself. You are responsible for what you publish. Do not post someone else's address, ID number, banking details or photos of people who have not agreed to appear. You keep ownership of your own text; by posting you allow us to display it on the forum and in related pages.
We take down content that is unlawful, threatening, or aimed at selling financial schemes, gambling services or adult material. Spam, repeated off-topic promotion and classifieds listings for stolen goods are removed without notice. Regional boards for Gauteng, the Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal follow the same rules as the main threads.
We do not inspect, test or endorse any repair method, product or service mentioned in a thread. If you follow advice from another member and something breaks, or a job turns out bigger than expected, that risk sits with you. We are not liable for indirect losses, lost data or damage arising from use of the forum, to the extent the law allows.
You may close your account at any time by writing to us. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken, if an account is used to harass other members, or if we are required to do so by law. Threads you started may stay visible so that answers remain useful to others.
We update these terms when the forum changes, and the revised version applies from the date it is published on this page.
